The Role of an Architect and Choosing the Right Tools for the Job The world is moving away from a mentality of coding from the ground up for every new project. Today it is all about delivering business value. The architecture role is pivotal to making this happen. In this session we will dive into exploring the role of an architect, the importance of user experience, adding value through integration and how you can produce results quicker, better and faster. We'll discuss the benefits of formal application lifecycle management, building a great user experience, development frameworks, commercial components, connectivity, rules engines, xml mapping, connectors, messaging, scalability, and security.

Mike Vincent is a solutions architect based in Orange County, California providing clients with software architecture, application lifecycle management and development services, primarily focusing on Microsoft .NET technology. He has been in the software business for over 20 years in addition to engineering and marketing management positions. He founded both the IASA SoCal Chapter and the Orange County C# Developers group and is Treasurer of INETA NorAm.
