SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence for .NET Developers

Attend this demo-filled session to understand why you might be interested in taking a look at using OLAP cubes or Data Mining models as the basis for your .NET applications. In this session, Lynn will show how and why you’d use the Business Intelligence tools included with SQL Server 2008. This will include information about SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services.

Lynn Langit is a MSDN developer evangelist for Microsoft. Prior she was founder and lead architect of WebFluent, which for the past six years has trained users and developers in building BI solutions. A holder of numerous Microsoft certifications, including MCT, MCITP, MCDBA, MCSD.NET, MCSE, and MSF, she also has ten years’ experience in business management. This unique background makes her particularly qualified to share her expertise in developing successful real-world BI solutions using SQL Server 2005. Her blog is http://blogs.msdn.com/SoCalDevGal. Lynn published 'Foundations of SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence' (APress/2007) and is currently working on a new book on BI in SQL Server 2008 for MSPress titled ‘Smart Business Intelligence Solutions with SQL Server 2008’ scheduled for publication in October 2008.

Our Meeting Scedule
The meetings will be scheduled second Thursday of every month at a time convenient to most. The topic and speaker will be be communicated as soon as they are confirmed. Please make sure that you are in our mailing list and that you RSVP immediately as seats may be limited based on our venue.
